I support Kenneth K. Carpenter

Iron County Sheriff

As the Public Safety Director for the Town of Brian Head and as a neighboring community to Parowan, I have had the great opportunity to work alongside Chief Ken Carpenter on countless incidents.  Ken is an inspiring individual with the ability to bring those around him to a higher level of performance.  When faced with challenges in public safety I know that Ken can pull from his decades of public service to handle any situation that may arise.  Ken Carpenter will make a great Sheriff for the citizens of Iron County.

Ken Carpenter is also inspiring our youth.  I have watched Ken work as an adult leader in the Boy Scouts of America.  Ken knows how to influence our future by working with our youth.  He not only teaches the principles of this program but also lives them.  Ken has a great ability to relate to people of all ages.

I believe that as Sheriff of Iron County, Ken Carpenter will be accountable to the constitution of the State of Utah, the U.S. Constitution, and will serve the citizens of this great county with excellence.  Ken has the courage to always do what is right even when it is not the popular decision.  He will lead with boldness but will also demonstrate his humility for the service he can provide.

I am grateful for men like Ken Carpenter who have the initiative to run for public office and who really put themselves out there.  Ken has my full support in his campaign and I encourage all to vote for Ken Carpenter, Iron County Sheriff.

Respectfully,

 Dan Benson

To Whom it may concern:

It is with my greatest pleasure that I express my personal observations of Mr. Ken Carpenter. I'm a former U.S. Navy SEAL Sniper, Marine, Federal Law Enforcement Agent & High-Threat Mobile Security Team Leader.

My non-profit organization, Veterans For Child Rescue, was fortunate enough to run joint counter-trafficking operations with the Parowan Police Department in Feb of 2018. It was during these operations that I got to see Parowan Police Chief, Ken Carpenter, in action leading his people by professional example, demonstrating tremendous leadership in a particularly powerful, genuine and motivational manner. It came as no surprise that Ken had been a United States Marine, which has the strongest heritage of leadership, integrity and honor. Ken obviously lives these core values. It shines through in how he passionately looks after his personnel and the citizens they serve and protect. His purpose and intent are clear. I came away from that experience proud that such leaders exist in our law enforcement community and honored to know the man.

I've witnessed much in my time. I've worn many hats and worked professionally in 55 countries. I've seen big government corruption inside multiple agencies. I've worked closely with truly great leaders, to include Admirals, Generals, Diplomats and high-ranking Intelligence Community Officials. It is through this uniquely diverse professional experience that I've learned honorable men like Ken do exist but are few and far between. When we find such selfless leaders, we're wise to get them into the highest-possible positions of authority where they can make the most positive impact for us all.

When a leader's experienced personnel say to you in private with a glimmer in their eye that he's a good and decent man who cares about his people, you have your verification.

In a time when too many abuse their authority, here is one man I personally believe will shine when trusted with the ball. Let's get him that ball. We'll be glad we did!

 With great appreciation and respect,

I went to the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia with Ken Carpenter in 2001. He soon became one of the most respected man out there with over 265 fellow high ranking officers from across the nation. Because of Ken’s honesty and tenacity, his patriotic love of this country, and the pride he had in the Marine Corps, he is well respected and well liked. Even though I don’t see him a lot, I consider him a lifelong friend.

There are very few finer men than Ken Carpenter and I wished I lived in Iron County because I would vote for him!! Ken is granite rock solid and he has my ultimate respect. I think the best officers are the ones that can take a knee and speak and comfort a hurt emotionally or a hurt physically child, but then spring to life and take down a heavily resisting suspect, Ken can run that spectrum.

His Leadership skills are amazing and he will take good care of his people. He would be a great boss to work for. Ken is the man!!! He is well read and has studied much of the great historical events. I could write a book of all the good things he’s done.

Vote for Ken, you won’t go wrong!!!!

Highest Regards,
Russell Peck
