"As Sheriff of Iron County, I will work diligently to provide public safety, transparency, protect property rights and maintain order"- Kenneth Carpenter

What's most important to me:
My family is the most significant part of my life. The family unit determines the fate of a nation because the family determines what moral views and ethics will be taught in the home and will subsequently be embraced by that nation. If we are to have strong ethical communities, it will be due to strong ethical families.

My Family:
My wife, Stacey, and I have been married nearly 35 years. While dating, she told me she would never marry someone in the military or law enforcement service. But for 34 years she has been my best friend and has supported me in both! We have four son's, three daughter's-in-law, and one Grand Daughter. My oldest son lives in St George and works for Wal-Mart. My second and forth son's live in Cedar City and work for Cedar City Police Department. My third son is an Athletic Trainer for IHC and lives in Eagle Mountain. I am very proud of each of them and love spending time with all my family!
Community Service:
I am a faithful member of my church and spend a great deal of my time volunteering to serve it's members, and the community through church service projects.
I am also an avid Scouter and have been involved in the Scouting program since I was eleven years old. I am currently serving as the Cedar Breaks District Chairman and as the Order of the Arrow (Scouting's National Honor Society) Vigil Adviser (The Vigil is the highest honor in the Order of the Arrow). The motto of the Order of the Arrow is "Brotherhood of Cheerful Service".
